It is less complicated to save the income and expenditure on one central point. You have also be able to edit it everywere you are. Then you can document any small issue. Many small issues make a big difference. A piece of paper would be too unwieldy for this. A household book would be equally unwieldy. You do not always want to have it with you. It is much easyer with our App because the mobile phone is always there anyway. If you deduct the expenses from the income of eg. a month, then you see what you have left. This amount is called Cashflow. That's the Name of our App "Cashflowcalculator". You got your income and expenditure always with you and you can create a monthly or yearly Cashflowstatement. You can also export your statement as a PDF to print it.

Financial saveness in 4 easy steps

  1. Download the App Cashflowcalculator and watch and document on what you spend for your money and what you earn for a whole month.

  2. Analyze your data and think of your expenditure you can renounce and how you can earn more to maximize your cashflow. Set a realistic but ambitious target.

  3. Work on the achievement of the goal. The more disciplined you are the more it will pay off in the end

  4. Go on, repeat the first step and optimize the process permanently. Fill in your expenditure and income every week for a half hour. You can use your saved money for saving or for some investments. Select a percentage of your Cashflow you can use for investing. This maximizes your cashflow even more.
After a certain time you see that your assets have grown and bigger expenses are no longer a problem.

What is the cashflow?

This balance sheet number is usually calculated per month or per year. A balance sheet would be drawn up of your income and expenditure. This balance sheet shows the profit or loss a person or a company made in a special period.
Cashflow = Income – Expenditure

When is the cashflow positive?

Positive cashflow means profit. The income is higher than the expenditure. This profit you can use for incestments, paying liabilitys or saving. All the more positive the cashflow the more money is left after the calculated period.

When is the cashflow negative?

If the cashflow is negative there is a deficit. The expenditure are higher than the income. That means that no money is left after the calculated period.
1. Create (Month- and Yearcashflow)
1.1 Select Month- or Yearcashflow.

1.2 Click on the Plus(+) Icon right on the top.

1.3 Insert the Year and if you have a Monthcashflow select the month additionally.

1.4 Insert a short description and a value of the Mainincome.

1.5 Insert a short description and a value of the extra income then click on the green Plus(+) Icon right next to it. You can delete the income even i fit already stands above. You only have to klick on the X-Icon left tot he input you want to delete.

1.6 Do the input of the expenditure. It works the same as the input of the extra income.

1.7 To save your whole input click on the Overview Button on the bottom or click on the back button of your device. If a cashflow of this month / year already exists, a popup comes and you can decide if you want to overwrite the existing cashflow.

2. Showing the created cashflow
2.1 Select Month- or Yearcashflow.

2.2 Select the month /year you want to see.

2.3 Click on the Overview Button at the bottom.

2.4 Now you can see a clear overview of your cashflow.
3. Edit
3.1 Select Month- or Yearcashflow.

3.2 Select the month / year you want to edit.

3.3 Now you can edit your cashflow as descripted in point 1 of this tutorial. But you cant edit the Month- and Yearinput.
4. Export
4.1 Select Month- or Yearcashflow.

4.2 Select the month / year you want to export as a PDF.

4.3 Click on the Overview Button.

4.4 Click on the button on the bottom with the description „Save PDF to Device Memory“. A Popup opens.

4.5 Click on „Create PDF“. The Maximum of PDF Exports is 10.

4.6 Confirm the next Popup with yes.

4.7 The PDF was created and this is confirmed by a message. After this message another message appears with a Path where you can find the PDF File.
5.1 Delete Cashflow
5.1.1 Select Month- or Yearcashflow.

5.1.2 Click on the Trashcan Icon. The background colors itself.

5.1.3 Make a long klick on the month or year you want to delete until it colors itself to darkgreen. Do this with every months or years you want to delete.

5.1.4 Klick on the hook on the top to confirm the deleting. The Cashflow has been deleted. If you klick on the X-Icon the process is canceled.
6. Settings
6.1 Klick on the Gear Icon.

6.2 Here you can change the currency oft he App. It would also be changed for all your existing cashflows.

Here you can also change the language of the App.

You will receive your Cashflow Assistant with this update. You can give him voice commands. Get to know him and his skills. He will serve you well.

Another new feature is a backup function. You can upload and download your data to and from Dropbox. Then you don't have to document everything extra for every device.

You can now have a reminder messsage for enter your finances. To save your battery, we send via Firebase a message to your phone which wakes the app. The reminders are always sent at 19 o'clock.We have also made some design and bug fixes.

Now you can see the View of your Cashflow directly from the list of your Cashflows. To do that select your Cashflow in the list. A popup appears. In this popup you can select a few options. Display, edit or delete the Cashflow.

Data protection

The user can calculate and document his monthly and yearly cashflow with the App „Cashflowcalculator“. The you can see this documentation in the App or in a from the App generated PDF File. The App is developed for the self control of the finances and not for business use. If you use it for a business or the tax office, you to this at your own risk. We assume no liability for the non-compilance of all formatting standards. As our tutorial shows, you insert your income and expentidure and the App calculates a cashflow with that. We are two young developers who programming Android Apps for fun. At the moment we are lerning to programming ( university and education), because in the future we will work in this business. We have built up this organization on a part-time basis and are constantly expanding it.

To calculate a cashflow you neet your main income, passive income, extra income, your fixed expenditure and variable expenditure. Each of these details includes a short description and the value.

We also use the service Google Firebase to send messages to the App and to analyse the user behavior. You can find further information and the data protection for Google products here and at Google.

Facebook App Events: We use the service Facebook App Events by the Facebook SDK. We use this service to regognize the reach of our publicity campaign. We receive from Facebook only an aggregated evaluation of the user behavior of our app. We have beyont no influence of the information who have been processed by Facebook.

There is a function to upload an download a backup file to your Dropbox Cloud. For this we use the Dropbox SDK. The App haven't total access to the Dropbox cloud of the user but there is a folder created for the App to access the Cloud. Here you can find the hints for data protection of Dropbox.


The Cashflowassistant is a speechassistant who is available in the App. The Cashflowassistant adapts on the parlance of the user. He does this by saving speechcommands and formulations he doesn't understand.

The information form point “Personal dates, which are processed in the app” are required to calculate the cashflow. They will saved in the internal storage of your mobile phone. So you can check your cashflow every time. Furthermore it’s possible to generate a PDF form this saved dates. When required you can delete this information every time. The App writes the data in files who are at the internal storage of the device of the user. The files are encrypted by a encryption algorithm from us.

The service Firebase is used for the Reminderfunction. The Firebase message wakes up a process in the App who shows a notification. In addition, we capture the user behavior in order to constantly improve the app.

Through the Facebook App Events we analyze the performance of our advertising campaigns.

The Dropbox SDK is used to allow the user to upload and download a backup file to their Dropbox Cloud. You can download and process your backup file to manage your Cashflow documentations on several devices.

The stored speechcommands and formulations are needed that the user can serve the speechassistant how he wants.

The calculated cashflows can be irrevocably deleted at any time. All dates which are selected will be irrevocably deleted forever.

The user can switch of at any time the appearance of a notification caused by a Firebase message.

To delete the connection data to your Dropbox Account go to the settings in der App and select Backup. Then click on the button "Reset the connectiondata of Dropbox". Your connection data to your Dropbox Cloud is not deleted.

Give the Cashflowassistant the command "Reset" to delete all learned speechcommands and formulations. All data who has been saved from the Cashflowassistant are deleted and can not be restored.

The data entered is stored exclusively on the mobile phone of the respective user and is not passed on to us or to third parties.

When using the backup function, a backup file will only be saved on one for the App created folder stored in the user's cloud. Only the user and the Cashflowcalculator App installed on the device witch the user has inserted his access data of the Cloud have access to the folder.

The collected data of the Firebase service will be passed on only to us by Google.

The collected data of the Facebook App Event Service are passed on by Facebook only to us.

The saved data of the Cashflowassistant stays on the Device of the user in the form of textfiles. This textfiles are not passed on to us or to third parties.
